Making your website bilingual is a great way to grow your online audience.
With WordPress, this is no longer an issue as hundreds of language plugins can be downloaded and used immediately.
This growth hack has two more important aspects that are worth mentioning and elaborating on.
Let’s start by keeping this in mind.
For SEO and Internet Marketing, it is becoming increasingly competitive due to the extremely cheap overhead expenses. Most notably, the English language is no exception. Moreover, 984 million people speak English, Chinese is number one with 1.1 billion, but what about 423 million who speak Arabic, or the 90–95 million who speak German, or French, or Spanish, or Norwegian?
These locations will benefit you for a variety of reasons, and you may even be able to dominate the local market! It is safe to say that there will be less of a competitive environment in nations that do not speak English
Second, once you’ve installed the multi-language plugin, there are a number of tools you may use to get started. Publish the blog post or piece of material and use an online translation (which gets better month-by-month).
Choosing a paid translation is totally up to you, but if you’re on a budget, you may utilize an online provider and then offer your readers an incentive to translate (and enhance) the material once it’s published. I wouldn’t pay a stranger to translate material for your site (it’s usually preferable to hire a professional), but you might give a “product” or “service” discount or anything like that. Alternatively, if your material is genuinely benefiting others, then just ask for help and you’ll be amazed at how many people are willing to help you.
The question is, how do you decide which languages to translate into which? Easy! There’s a lot of information in your Google Analytics account. Why not convert your website into Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Telugu, and Tamil if India is your second most visited nation?
