Between June 21 and 23, 2023, the Headquarters of Afundación in Vigo will play host to the eighth installment of the National Conference on Cybersecurity Research, often known as JNIC.
These Conferences are brought to fruition with the assistance of the National Institute of Cybersecurity (INCIBE), which is also a participant. INCIBE is the national reference entity for creating cybersecurity and digital trust among citizens, academic and research networks, professionals, corporations, and especially for strategic sectors. This includes developing digital trust for strategic sectors. The objective of INCIBE is to provide funding for research and development in order to generate knowledge and technology that is capable of meeting the requirements and overcoming the challenges provided by cyber threats and cyberattacks.
The JNIC is a scientific convention that encourages communication, exchange, and debate of ideas, knowledge, and experiences between professionals and businesses on the one hand, and academic and research networks on the other. It is designed to highlight the most recent breakthroughs in relevant scientific research in the discipline. It materializes a debate forum to propose creative viewpoints and techniques in cybersecurity, facilitating the connection between research and innovation activities and the production of products and services that are valuable to society. Researchers and industry professionals from many regions of the country will come together to share the findings of their scientific study from a variety of vantage points, all of which will have one thing in common: a focus on cybersecurity.
