The Messaging, Malware, and Mobile Anti-Abuse Working Group (M3AAWG) brings together the industry to combat botnets, malware, spam, viruses, DoS attacks, and other forms of online exploitation. With over 200 members globally, they are the largest global industry organization, bringing together all stakeholders in the online community in a confidential, open forum. They create collaborative techniques to combat internet abuse.
M3AAWG is a non-political, technology-neutral working group that was founded in 2004. They systematically concentrate on operational concerns related to Internet misuse, such as technology, industry collaboration, and public policy. Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecommunications firms, Email Service Providers (ESP), social networking companies, top hardware and software providers, big brands, major antivirus vendors, and countless security vendors are among their members.
