Loyola Blakefield Cyber Challenge 2022
The Loyola Blakefield Cyber Challenge, now in its fifth year, is a thrilling event for all participants, new and old.
It will take place on March 26, 2022, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., with prizes presented at the conclusion. Participants will have the option of attending in person or virtually. Kids from Loyola Blakefield High School organized the tournament for students all throughout the country. Participants will be given tasks on a wide range of themes, many of which are relevant to real-world cyber risks that exist in today’s society. This competition is accessible to everyone, whether this is your first foray into the area of cyber security or you’ve honed a number of abilities in the industry.
The goal of the challenge is to teach and assess participants’ ability to think outside the box while dealing with cyber dangers and solving cryptographic problems. Students from Loyola will assist and guarantee that the competition works well. LBC2 is a wonderful opportunity to check out cybersecurity if you’ve ever been interested in or intrigued about it. The tournament is free and accessible to all students in grades 8 through 12. The only hardware needed is a PC or laptop that can connect to the internet wirelessly. With the tenth anniversary of Loyola Blakefield Cyber Security Informatics and the fifth anniversary of LBC2, this year is even more spectacular than usual.
All you need to compete in the Beginner division is a computer with an internet connection. It is advised that you use a machine that has Kali Linux installed.

The sixth annual Loyola Blakefield Cyber Challenge is a thrilling event for all competitors, whether they are new to the competition or have been competing for years. The competition is free to enter and available to kids of all grade levels, from eighth to twelfth. The only piece of hardware that is required is a desktop or laptop that has the ability to connect to the internet wirelessly.
The Internet of Things (IoT) City features a total of six unique Capture the Flag-style tasks, each with an IoT-centric twist. Competitors’ understanding of fundamental aspects of cybersecurity and the internet of things (IoT) will be put to the test via a series of challenges with difficulties ranging from Easy to Advanced. The term “Internet of Things” refers to the concept of various devices, or “things,” being able to connect with one another and interact with one another. This might include the camera that you use for home security, your phone, or even your toaster. This year, we will be hosting a series of challenges with an Internet of Things (IoT) focus that will revolve around common industrial “things” such as traffic lights, billboards, and water supplies.
