In 2019, creator Francois Guay recognized the enormous market opportunity afforded by cybersecurity and set out with the goal of building Canada’s first community network for the cybersecurity industry. This is what sparked the formation of the LinkedIn Group in 2019.
As more experts were involved and the community took shape, they began to dream a little bigger, and in the summer of 2021, they decided to construct Canada’s one and only cybersecurity community platform to assist nurture and develop talent, thereby strengthening Canada’s cybersecurity industry. They decided to make it completely accessible and inclusive by making membership free.
They planned to supplement this online network in early 2022 by developing Canada’s first cybersecurity job portal.
With this inclusion, their aim expanded beyond simply creating a platform and a job board to include the hope of uniting and inspiring the present and next generation of Canadian cybersecurity talent and enterprises. Bringing together talent and businesses to achieve great things.
Their goal is to make Canada the cybersecurity world’s envy. They will accomplish this by empowering members of the community one at a time.
