Bismarck State College (BSC) is a state-run university in Bismarck, North Dakota.
With 3,781 students as of September 2016, it is the third biggest institution in the North Dakota University System. It is a comprehensive community college founded in 1939 that provides the initial two years of instruction leading to a bachelor’s degree in most subjects, as well as 20+ bachelor’s degrees and numerous undergraduate programs in collaboration with other university system institutions.
There are over 35 technical programs available, as well as more than 150 online courses – including cybersecurity.
Degrees in energy, such as power and process plant technology, nuclear power technology, electric power technology, and renewable energy, are unique to the university.
